HOW IT ALL STARTED
We aim to spread the joy of what we feel is one of the most important skills to master-literacy.
With the help of our customers, our employees, our community, our planet, and the shared common cause that brings us all together, we strive to continue to be able to spread our books to each and every hand in our community, keeping them out of our landfills and in the places they really matter.
We strive to find balance between purpose and profit, which is why we do what we do! By hosting our book exchange, we can feel good about getting books into hands who might not have access to literature via other means.

Blue Vase Books is the result of one determined couple who wanted to make a name for themselves doing something different. What started as selling a few various items and books out of their basement online quickly grew into what you know and love today. While the bulk of the income for Blue Vase comes from online sales, our passion lies in building and maintaining essential relationships in our community through our shared common goal.
